ACT Property Group
ACT Property Group manages the Territory owned commercial buildings; acts as lessee on behalf of the Territory for commercial leases; manages Government office accommodation at a whole of Government level; and manages multipurpose buildings and evaluates the future use for properties which become surplus to agencies’ service delivery needs.
As well, ACT Property undertakes a range of whole of Government functions such as facilities management, energy procurement and strategic policy development in relation to property issues.
ACT Property has four sections as follows:
Accommodation Strategy and Leasing
Accommodation Strategy and Leasing which is responsible for:
- the government owned accommodation portfolio;
- negotiating and entering into commercial property leases on behalf of the Territory;
- managing the Government’s leased office accommodation portfolio;

Strategic Asset Management
Strategic Asset Management which is responsible for:
- finance and budget management;
- business analysis;

Facilities Management Section
Facilities Management Section which is responsible for:
- providing facility management services for ACT and some Commonwealth Government properties and private clients at over 400 sites in the ACT. Clients include: ACT Magistrates Court; North Building; Australian National Botanic Gardens; Prime Minister & Cabinet; and
- offering its customers Quality Assurance Certification relating to a 'one stop shop' capability for total portfolio management. This includes, but is not limited to: a 24-hour emergency repairs response centre; traditional building maintenance; contract management; minor new works; asset condition audits and reports; building refurbishment and fitouts; and preventative maintenance programs; and
- the management of flag and banner sites for the ACT Government. These sites are available for hire by individuals/organisations wishing to publicise forthcoming events, activities or campaigns considered appropriate by the ACT Government.
