Sport & Recreation Services supports and advises clubs, organisations, athletes and officials in the areas of:
- Kids at Play
Kids at Play is an innovative approach to deliver play opportunities to children and topromote the importance of active play in children’s lives. - Good Sports Territory
The Good Sports Territory program promotes fair play and positive sporting behaviour on and off the field. - Actively Aging Framework
The Framework aims to increase the participation of older people in physical activity. - Harassment-free Sport
The Harassment-free Sport (HFS) Strategy is the Australian Sports Commissions (ASCs) key initiative in addressing discrimination, harassment and abuse issues in sport. - Safe Waters
The Safe Waters ACT Framework is designed to assist efforts in the prevention of drowning and near drowning incidences in the ACT. - Indigenous Sport Program
The Indigenous Sport Program works in partnership with state sporting organisations to ensure that sporting programs are developed to suit the needs of Indigenous people and families in ACT and surrounding areas. - Coaching/Officiating
Sport and Recreation Services offer a number of different Coaching and Officiating development opportunities. - Club Development
Sport and Recreation Services identify industry skill development and training needs and deliver appropriate training programs and resources so that the management and capacity of clubs / organisations is continually improved. - Volunteers/Thanks Program
The 'Thanks Program' allows participants, organisations and the sport and recreation industry to say thanks to our valued volunteers. - Anti Doping
The ACT Government is committed to the anti-doping cause through the Drugs in Sport Act 1999 and the ACT Government Policy on Drugs in Sport. - Schools Network
