Tidbinbilla Revised Draft Plan of Management 2011
The Tidbinbilla Draft Plan of Management May 2010 was available for public comment from 21 May to 26 July 2010.
The Department of Territory and Municipal Services (TAMS) has reviewed all the submissions received as a result of the public consultation, and prepared a revised draft plan of management and accompanying report on consultation.
The Planning and Development Act 2007 includes a requirement to refer the revised draft plan of management and public consultation report to an appropriate committee of the Legislative Assembly.
The committee has the discretion to conduct a public inquiry into the plan, any aspect of the plan, or on the public consultation process, if it decides an inquiry is warranted.
The Tidbinbilla Revised Draft Plan of Management 2011 and the consultation report have now been given to the Legislative Assembly Standing Committee on Planning, Public Works and Territory and Municipal Services for the committee’s consideration.

Finalising the Plan
Once the Legislative Assembly Standing Committee on Planning, Public Works and Territory and Municipal Services has considered the revised plan the committee will report to the Minister for Planning. The Minister must either approve the plan in writing or consider any recommendations made by the committee and refer the plan to the proponent (TAMS). When TAMS has complied with the Minister’s directions the plan will be submitted to the Minister for approval.
Following consideration and approval by the government the final plan will be presented to the Legislative Assembly as a disallowable instrument. Subject to any disallowance under the Legislation Act, Chapter 7, Section 65, the Tidbinbilla Plan of Management will come into effect on the day after the 6th sitting day after the day the plan is presented to the Legislative Assembly.
