Gibraltar Forest Regeneration Area Closed to Dogs

Gibraltar Forest Regeneration Area formerly known as Gibraltar Pines east of Corin Road, is now closed as a dog off-leash exercise area and dogs are prohibited.

This change is to safeguard domestic dogs from 1080 poison baits for wild dogs and foxes laid in this area. Baiting began in September 2010 and will continue indefinitely to protect livestock in the Tidbinbilla area. Warning signs are displayed at all entrances into the affected area.

Gibraltar Forest Regeneration Area to the west of Corin Road remains a dog off-leash exercise area. Dogs are also permitted on-lead at Woods Reserve. There are also many other areas in the ACT where you can take your dog.
