Temporary closure of the Bicentennial National Trail

In the interest of public safety, the Bicentennial National Trail is currently closed for public use. This is due to storm damage to the Gooromon Pond Creek crossing between Jarramlee Station gate and West Belconnen Ponds.

It is not yet known exactly how long repair works will take. User groups will be updated when a clearer timeframe is available

Maps have been placed at the start and end of the detour and markers have been attached to posts at regular intervals along the alternate route to ensure rider safety.

An alternate route has been established, starting at Fassifern Pond and the edge of West Belconnen Pond to Douglas Waterhouse Drive Dunlop.
