Lookouts

Canberra has a number of lookouts located on various mounts and hills throughout the city. Some can be accesed by car and have sealed roads while others are only accessed by a walking track.  The lookouts themselves vary from formal paved areas to walking tracks which lead to a trig point. Canberra residents and visitors have various opportunties to view the city from different perspectives and enjoy the sights and sounds of the native surrounds.

Some lookouts include;

  • Black Mountain
  • Red Hill
  • Mt Ainslie
  • Mt Pleasant

More information about lookouts in the ACT can be found at the Canberra Tourism website.
