2010-11 Lake Ginninderra District Park Picnic Facilities Upgrade

Territory and Municipal Services (TAMS) is pleased to announce that picnic and BBQ facilities at John Knight Memorial Park and Lake Ginninderra Foreshores District Park have been upgraded in 2010.

The north-west lakeside BBQ area at John Knight Park has been enhanced with two new picnic and BBQ areas with all-weather shelters as well as new paths and landscaping. The MacDermott Close hilltop BBQ area at Lake Ginninderra Foreshores District Park has also been refurbished with a new picnic area and shelter.

The new contemporary picnic and BBQ facilities and shade structures provide and attractive, all-weather recreation area for park visitors to increase the vitality and use of open space areas around Lake Ginninderra.
