Requests for Tree Plantings

Residents can request to have trees planted on nature strips or in parks. Trees will be planted according to:

  • the time of year
  • recent weather patterns
  • site conditions (e.g. existing infrastructure)
  • suitability of tree species
  • existing planting programs
  • resources available to Parks, Conservation and Lands.

During the past three years replacement trees have only been planted on verges where individual residents have given a commitment to the Department to care for the new tree.

We are happy to take requests which will be placed on a database for future planting programs. To be included on the database, call Canberra Connect on 13 22 81.
