Situated on the banks of Gibraltar Creek, the Woods Reserve Recreation Area is a popular venue for picnics, barbeques and  campingLocated (PDF PDF 73Kb) south of Canberra on Corin Road, it is 5.4 km from the Tidbinbilla Road turn-off and only 15 minutes from Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve  and Corin Forest Mountain Recreation Resort.(External Link) 

Gibraltar Falls is located upstream from Woods Reserve, a few minutes drive south on Corin Road. From the Gibraltar Falls car park there is a short gravel track to the lookout.

Facilities include:

  • picnic shelter and picnic tables;
  • wood fired (BYO firewood) and gas BBQs;
  • amenities block; and
  • water from creek for hand washing, flushing toilets and washing up facilities. Please be water wise and minimise waste. Bring your own drinking water.

Please note the following:

  • available for day use as well as overnight camping; 
  • bookings essential for large functions and camping;
  • bring your own drinking water;
  • pets allowed; and
  • access code to the amenities given when bookings are approved.
