Access via Mirrabei Drive and Gundaroo Drive, Gungahlin.

Facilities

A major feature of the Yerrabi Pond District Park is the adventure playground, which includes a Giant Tarzan swing, Double/Tandem Flying Fox, Burmese Bridge and children's play equipment. There is also a major skateboard arena for both beginners and "experts". Barbecues, picnic areas, and public toilets as well as artworks are other facilities in this park.

History

Yerrabi Pond District Park was officially opened by the Chief Minister, Kate Carnell on 16 October 1999. It is the newest of Canberra's urban parks and features the latest innovative design in children's play equipment and adventure playground.

Yerrabi Pond District Park will be the major recreational facility for the residents of Gungahlin. The park design is a result of extensive community consultation.

The opening of Gungahlin's District Park signified a very important step in the development of Gungahlin and its Town Centre. Gungahlin is no longer the "frontier" of Canberra and is now a thriving, settled and self-sufficient community.
