Renewal of Macgregor Playspace

The New Design

The existing play space location near shady eucalypt trees and in close proximity to the barbeque area will be retained for the new playspace.

All of the existing playspace equipment will be removed.

A contemporary and exciting climbing and sliding structure will provide fun and challenging play opportunities for older children.

Young children will enjoy the new swings and creative play offered by the rocks that encourage exploration.

Art work in the form of carved timber Australian animals and/or plants by a local artist, will be included to provide imaginary play opportunities. The pieces will complement the natural character of the park.

  • A new path connection from the existing pedestrian path will provide easy access for all to the new playspace.
  • Seating will be provided under the shade of a new tree.
  • A new picnic table will also be installed near the barbeque (not on plan).
