Woods Reserve Recreation Area

Woods Reserve situated on the banks of Gibraltar Creek to the south of Canberra, Woods Reserve is a popular venue for picnics, barbeques and camping - and pets are allowed too!
Facilities
Picnic tables and shelter; Gas BBQs; Wood fire pits(bring your own wood); Amenities include flushing toilets and hot showers and a disabled toilet ; Washing-up facilities using water from creek - please be water wise and minimise waste. Bring your own drinking water.
Camping
Due to the current closure of the Cotter campground this site is not able to be booked at this time. It is on a first come first served basis and payment can be made at either the Namadgi Visitors Centre or at the honesty box onsite.
Cost: $8.35 per person per night, with no charge for children under 10 years of age.
Group Bookings and Functions
Please submit an Application to Use a Public Place if you would like to hold a large functions, event or organised recreation activity at Woods Reserve. Once the application is approved, the access code to the amenities block will be provided. A fee for exclusive use may also apply.
Gibraltar Falls
Located upstream from Woods Reserve, a few minutes drive south off Corin Road. At the Gibraltar Falls car park there is a picnic shelter, gas BBQ, amenities block and short gravel track to a lookout over the Gibraltar Falls and Gibraltar Creek.
Location
Woods Reserve is located to the south of Canberra on Corin Road 5.4 km from the junction with Tidbinbilla Road. It is also only 15 minutes from Tidbinbilla, adjacent to Namadgi National Park, and the Corin Forest Mountain Recreation Resort is also nearby. Woods Reserve Location Map (
