Please keep in mind that European wasps can be sighted at any time of the year in the ACT. Although rangers inspect campsites and recreation areas regularly for nests, wasps are attracted to sweet drinks and food, so please keep food covered and take care when drinking from a can or cup. If stung, treatment includes an ice pack and a pain relieving anaesthetic spray to reduce pain and swelling.
