Parks and City Services is responsible for managing the temporary use of public unleased Territory land including:
- Campsite Bookings
There are several camping areas in ACT's Parks, Forests and Bushlands. - Events on Unleased Territory Land
Application to use public areas for events, social functions and organised community activities. - Nature Strip Development Application
All changes to Nature Strips including planting or landscaping requires approval. -
Storage of Materials in a Public Place
Approval to temporarily place items in public areas - Skips, construction fencing, signs, tables, chairs. - Long Term Licence for Use of Public Land
A licence agreement is required to use unleased Territory land continuously for more than 12 months. -
Fees and Charges
Administrative Fees for Parks, Conservation and Lands - reviewed annually. -

Placement of Commercial Waste and Charity Bins
Commercial entities and charitable organisations wanting to place a bin in a public place for the collection of customer waste or charitable donations requires approval. Call Canberra Connect on 13 22 81 for details. -
