Apply for Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) approval

Developers and contractors are responsible for the safety of the work force and the public at work sites under their control. Temporary Traffic Management measures ensure that road users can travel safely through, around or past work sites on roads, footpaths and cyclepaths. TTM usually entails the placement of directive barriers and/or signs.

To obtain authorisation for TTM, you will need to visit Roads ACT and supply us with a detailed drawing which has been designed by a qualified traffic engineer or person certified to the NSW RTA Design and Inspect Traffic Control Plan or state based road authority accreditation.

Note: Please allow 5 working days from date of submission for authorisation of all TTM drawings.

The following documents are required to be submitted with all TTM drawings as outlined below.

Temporary Traffic Management - Conditions of Operation(   Word 55Kb ) This document shall be submitted with every TTM drawing.

Request For Authority To Close A Public Road (   PDF 25kb ) This document shall be submitted with every TTM drawing where a closure of a public road is required. please note where a public road closure is required please allow 3 weeks for authorisation and advertising prior to commencing works.

Application for Roads & Public Places Opening Permit ( PDF 96 kb) This document shall be submitted with every TTM drawing where the surface is broken or excavations are carried out on public land.

Roads & Public Places Opening Permit - Certificate of Completion(   Word 12Kb ) This document is required to be submitted to Roads ACT upon completion of any works where a road opening permit was required.
