Traffic Control Device (TCD) applications
If you are a developer or contractor and you need to remove or place any Traffic Control Devices along the traffic network or alter traffic arrangements whilst working on your project you will need to contact RoadsACT for approval.
Apply to alter Traffic Control Device (TCD) arrangements
It is incumbent upon any developer or contractor to implement 'off-site' traffic management infrastructure at any development under their control. Any road construction or building work that requires the removal, placement or replacement of permanent Traffic Control Devices (TCDs), including guide signs, needs to be approved by Roads ACT.
You will need to visit us with your proposed TCD location /relocation plans for comment or authorisation. A 'Traffic Control Device - transmittal form ' detailing the project name, agent and contractor should also be submitted at this stage.
If you need to place or replace a guide sign or signs you will need to complete a 'Traffic Control Device - Sign Inventory Form '. You will need to detail the design aspect and dimensions of the affected sign/s and the proposed location of the sign/s.
Upon the resolution of any issues the developer or contractor will be advised to submit final plans in hard copy and electronic copy in CAD format, for final approval.
