Motorcycle User Group

The Motorcycle User Group is a forum made up of Roads ACT representatives and community motorcycle user representatives.

The MUG meets on a 2 month cycle and informs Territory and Municipal Services on matters of road safety for motorcyclists.

The MUG terms of reference include:

• to discuss and provide input on road safety issues of concern to motorcyclists and other powered two (or 3) wheeled vehicles.
• discuss issues and items in the ACT Road Safety Strategy and Action Plan related to or affecting motorcyclists.

The MUG membership includes representatives from the following organisations:

• Motorcycle Riders  - Motorcycle Riders Association ACT
• ACT motorcycle industry – nominated by the MTA ACT
• ACT motorcycle rider training – Stay Upright
• ACT Policing – normally an ACT Policing motorcycle officer
• NRMA Motoring and Services
• Territory and Municipal Services Road Safety Manager and Road Safety Officer (Chair)
