Kambah P-10 Pedestrian Overpass
Brief Project Background
Namadgi School, located on the corner of O’Halloran Circuit and Drakeford Drive Kambah, has replaced Kambah High School, which was demolished in October 2009.
The School opened on Monday, 7 February 2011, accommodating students from preschool to year 7. The school will add a year level each year until 2014, when students will range from preschool to year 10 and numbers will reach the capacity of 900 students.
The objective of this project is to maximise the safety of pedestrian traffic at this location by providing a pedestrian overpass over Drakeford Drive. To align with the schools vision, the overpass will uphold the character of the precinct, its surrounds and the Tuggeranong community. Developing this scheme is a provision of infrastructure which will achieve safe pedestrian movements.
Works for the overpass are expected to commence in early 2012 and will be completed by August 2012.
