Taxi Fares
Information about taxi fares in the Australian Capital Territory.
The maximum taxi fares that can be charged are determined by the Minister for Territory and Municipal Services under section 60 of the Road Transport (Public Passenger Services) Act 2001.
The determination of the maximum fares normally occurs as a result of a review and price related direction submitted by industry and checked on behalf of the Directorate by an independent consultant.
