Accredited Restricted Hire Car Operators

Restricted Hire Car Operators are required by legislation to be accredited before beginning operation.

The Accredited Restricted Hire Car Operators list ( Word 36Kb) will be regularly updated by the Road Transport Authority.

To ensure that the restricted hire car you are hiring is indeed accredited, the Restricted Hire Car Operator must appear on the list. You may also request to sight a copy of their accreditation certificate. ( Word 98Kb)

Example accreditation number: RHC000.

RHC = Restricted Hire Car
000 = Number shows exclusive accreditation number

All restricted hire cars have a red label on the windscreen above their registration label which shows their licence expiry date, accreditation number, registration number and the dates the label is valid from and to. See example below -

Registration: YBU10Q
Valid: 23/06/06 - 22/06/07
