HIRE CAR SERVICE ACCREDITATION AND LICENCE FEES

Hire Car Service Accreditation Fees

Leased hire car licence

The fee for leased hire car licences is $4,600 per annum, per vehicle, with an option of quarterly payments being available of $1,150. The full annual fee will become payable should a quarterly payment not be made and the licence may be suspended if the licence fee is not paid.

Leased hire car licence – Motorbike (1 passenger)

The fee for a leased hire car motorbike licence (1 passenger) is $460.00 per annum, per vehicle. The full annual licence fee will be payable each anniversary of the date of issue of the leased hire car licence.

Leased hire car licence – Motorbike or Motortrike (2 or more passengers)

The fee for a leased hire car motorbike or motortrike licence (2 or more passengers) is $920.00 per annum per vehicle. The full annual licence fee will be payable each anniversary of the date of issue of the leased hire car licence.

RESTRICTED HIRE CAR SERVICE ACCREDITATION AND LICENCE FEES

Restricted hire car licence fees

The fee for restricted hire car licences for weddings and school formals work is $25 regardless of whether the period of the licence is three, six or twelve months. The fee covers the cost of the label received with each licence.

TAXI SERVICE ACCREDITATION AND LICENCE FEES

Leased taxi licence fees

The fee for leased taxi licences is $20,000 per annum, with an option of quarterly payments of $5,000 being available. The full annual fee will become payable should a quarterly payment not be made and the licence may be suspended if the licence fee is not paid.

Wheelchair Accessible Taxi licence fees

The annual fee payable for a wheelchair accessible taxi (WAT) licence is $1,000 for a WAT capable of carrying only one wheelchair dependant person.

The annual fee payable for a wheelchair accessible taxi (WAT) licence is $100.00 for a WAT capable of carrying two wheelchair dependant people.

Taxi licence transfer fees

A person may transfer a taxi licence (other that a restricted taxi licence or a non-transferable leased taxi licence) to another person under section 41 of the Road Transport (Public Passenger Services) Act 2001. The fee for facilitating this transfer is $49.
