Lanyon Drive Upgrade

Background:

Roads ACT and the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA)  have developed a preferred option for the upgrade of Lanyon Drive between Tompsitt Drive and the Monaro Highway from a two lane road to a four lane divided road with cycle lanes in each direction.

Construction of Stage 1  from the Monaro Highway to Sheppard Street has commenced from early  July 2008.

This project is funded by the NSW and Australian governments and is now on display for public comment.

The proposal will be on display from Monday 7 July until Friday 25 July 2008 at the following locations:

• Queanbeyan City Library

  Monday to Wednesday from 9.30am to 6pm
  Thursday from 9.30am to 7pm
  Friday from 9.30am to 7pm
  Saturday from 9.30am to 4pm.

  Monday to Friday 6.30am to 4pm.
• Tuggeranong Hyperdome Shopping Centre
  Anketell Street, Greenway
  Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 5.30pm
  Friday from 9am to 9pm
  Saturday from 9am to 5pm
  Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
• Tuggeranong Library
  Cowlishaw Street, Greenway
  Monday from 11am to 7pm
  Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 5.30pm
  Thursday from 8.30am to 5.30pm
  Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
