Riding and walking in Canberra's parks and reserves

Canberra's parks and reserves offer a wide range of walking and cycling paths and trails. As parks and reserves serve a dual purpose of conservation and recreation some restrictions do apply. Bikes are excluded from some trails, and generally riding is allowed on formed paths only. Similarly, some restrictions apply to walking dogs. Cycle-suitable trails through the parks are marked on the Canberra cycling & walking map. Information on particular parks and reserves should be sought from the Canberra Connect (External Link) website or on 13 22 81.
