Plastic Bags

Information on the management options that have been put forward to deal with the issue of plastic bags.

In October 2002, the Environment Ministers Council, the Environment Protection and Heritage Council (EPHC) established a Working Group to investigate issues associated with plastic bag use in Australia and to put forward management options for reducing the impact of plastic carry bags on the environment. The ACT was represented on the Working Group.
