Computer and Television Recycling
There are a few options for recycling an unwanted computer or television:
- Give Away: If a television is able to be upgraded to receive a digital signal, the reusables facilities at Mitchell and Mugga Lane Resource Management Centres may be interested in taking it for resale. Working computers may be also accepted for resale at these facilities. From Tuesday 15 May 2012, Canberrans will be able to dispose of their unwanted televisions and computers for free under the new National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme. Services will operate from the Mugga Lane and Mitchell Transfer Stations, which are open from 7.30 am to 5 pm seven days a week. The ACT is the first jurisdiction ready to implement the new scheme.
