ACT NOWaste is involved in a number of events each year to promote awareness and understanding amongst the community of the services availible for reuse, recycling and disposal of waste in the ACT.

Educational presentations and tours
ACT NOWaste and Thiess Services Pty Ltd invite members of the public, schools and community groups to the Materials Recovery Facility and the Resource Management Centre at Hume throughout the year.

Open Days
A few times a year ACT NOWaste and Thiess Services Pty Ltd invite the community to an Open Day at the Materials Recovery Facility and Resource Management Centre in Hume.
