Information on the ACT Movement System for Equines
Last EI Restrictions to End on 30th June 2008
From 1st July 2008 the requirement to fill out an Equine Movement Statement before moving horsed or attending an event will be dropped. The remaining green zones in NSW and QLD will revert to white and all EI cross border requirements will be removed.
Event registrations will continue. Organisations or people wishing to hold an event should register their events by completing the Equine Event Registration Form on this web site.
Equine Events
An “event” is a gathering of 10 or more equines, or a gathering of any number of equines from 3 or more properties and where the equines are moved to the event and back to their premises of origin within 5 days.
Equine event organisers should completean Equine Event Registration form before the event. Event organisers should maintain records of equines participating or attending the event.
