This is the first Access Action Plan for Territory and Municipal Service (TAMS). Its development has provide all areas in the department with the opportunity to identify the needs of people with disabilities, highlight the range of activities being undertaken to address these needs and to reflect on how the department can improve its approach to accessible service delivery and workplaces.

Territory and Municipal Services recognises that it has a direct relationship with the ACT community, and a responsibility to ensure our services and workplaces are inclusive and address the needs of people with different abilities.

This plan has been developed to support the implementation of the ACT Public Service Employment Framework for People with a Disability and contributes to progress of the TAMS Access Action Plan.

The vision of the whole of government framework that provides direction for the Territory and Municipal Services (TAMS) plan is:

'People with a disability are able to access secure and sustainable employment opportunities with the ACT Public Service commensurate with their skills capabilities, interests and potential'.
