This week’s photo is of 'Flea' the dog—frequent visitor to Macarthur House.

Many of the staff at Macarthur House may already know Flea. You could say he's a local.
Whenever Flea gets scared he knows where his 'safe house' is. Yes, he regularly comes to visit the staff in the foyer of Macarthur House. Thunder, lightning, fireworks, anything can set him off, but his owner always knows where to find him.
A big woof for Flea and TAMS for its 'safe environment'!

This week’s photos are of the opening of the Sanctuary at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, held on Friday 11 April 2008.

An acknowledgement to the Indigenous people of the land
The Sanctuary will allow visitors to experience the region’s wildlife in a natural setting, and has an enhanced educational and research focus. Unlike a zoo, there will be no fences between visitors and animals like wallabies, koalas, reptiles, possums and echidnas.
Many staff members from TAMS contributed enormously to this project and it is thanks to them that will make this Sanctuary a popular tourism, educational and community attraction.
Good work to everyone involved in the organisation of the Sanctuary!

This week’s photos are of the much anticipated opening of the Glenloch Interchange.

It was good to see a great turnout by TAMS staff and contractors involved in the project as well as the media. Minister John Hargreaves welcomed everyone attending and thanked them for their participation in the project.

Traffic to the Glenloch Interchange is opened. The first cars to travel on the new road are subject to a lot of media attention!
These photos were taken during the opening of the Glenloch Interchange on Monday 7 April. The Glenloch Interchange is the final chapter in the Gungahlin Drive Extension. Work has been very productive in the past 12 months with the final stage of the GDE completed two months ahead of schedule.
Many people in TAMS have worked hard to ensure the Glenloch Interchange development was running on time. It was great to see the positive outcome of a lot of hard work, with motorists already praising the new section of road.
Well done to everyone involved!

This week’s photos are of Paul and Rebecca, helping out at the Switch to Green Expo and Conference 2008.

Paul is from Sustainability Policy and Programs and Rebecca is from ACTION.

These photos were taken on the first day of the Switch to Green Expo, which was held at the National Convention Centre on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 April. Switch to Green is Australia’s premier event about climate change, with the Expo offering information on products and services that can help the community take action on climate change.
Many people from across TAMS worked hard to organise these displays and volunteered their time to assist the community.
TAMS is committed to making sure that the Canberra community is kept informed about how they can make Canberra a more sustainable city.
Good work to everyone involved in the organisation of the Expo!
