Best Practice in Office Buildings

In 1996, the ACT Government committed the Territory to achieving a waste free society by 2010. You can play your part in delivering this strategy by implementing a number of waste recovery initiatives aimed at improving waste management processes within the work environment, therefore reducing the volume of waste deposited to landfill.

Best Practice Waste Management within ACT Government Buildings( PDF 120Kb) is intended to encourage and assist tenancy managers and ACT Government employees to introduce recycling in their building by making available the experiences of others and a package of how to do it with support from ACT NOWaste and Department of Urban Services.
