Asbestos
Mugga Lane and Mitchell Resource Management Centres accept small amounts of asbestos free of charge. Asbestos material must be double wrapped and sealed in heavy duty plastic. Plastic packages should be no larger than 80cm x 80cm and must be identified to facility operators.
Asbestos loads greater than 250kg or larger than 80cm x 80cm are only accepted as commercial loads at Mugga Lane (not Mitchell). An appointment must be made first by contacting Thiess Services on 6126 5800. For more information and commercial charges see the Guide To Waste Disposal Charges.
