Aussie Junk and the Mugga Lane Reusable Services

Aussie Junk manages the reusable facilities at the Territory's Resource Management Centre (RMC):

- Mitchell RMC at Flemington Road, Mitchell ACT

- Mugga Lane RMC at Mugga Way, Symonston ACT

Aussie Junk will accept from the general public unwanted items assesed as having commercial value and/or potential for re-use, free of charge. The facilities operate from 7.30am to 5.00pm seven day a week (excluding nominated public holidays).

The decision to accept the items offered rest solely with Aussie Junk. In determining whether to accept or reject, Aussie Junk will take into account the quality and the level of demand for the item. If the item is rejected an explanation for the rejection will be provided by Aussie Junk.

Unacceptable Items

Unacceptable items are those that have been assessed as requiring an inordinate amount of repair, deemed irrepairable, contaminated in any way or considered as being no longer useable.

• Builders waste
• Tyres
• Garden Waste
• Chemicals
• Pornographic Materials
• Food Waste

Many charity organisations accept saleable items
