A recently completed review of legal graffiti art sites considered a range of factors, including safety for artists and the public, environmental protection and line of sight from roads and private residences. The review resulted in several sites being removed from the program and a number of new sites allocated that will be safer for the artists using them, while minimising impact on local residents.
There are currently 24 legal graffiti art sites around Canberra. Each wall will be signposted indicating that it is a legal site.
